At approximately 11:30 pm on Thursday night, Freeland Police were dispatched to the area of Centre and Luzerne Streets in Freeland for a report of a man who pistol whipped another man.

Freeland Police arrived on scene, assisted by Butler Township Police, where they conducted an investigation into the situation.

Multiple witnesses stated that a male identified as Jonathan Juan Morales, 25 of New Jersey, had pulled a gun on another male, threatening him with it, and then striking him in the head with the weapon.

The incident reportedly was instigated by the victim, whom was a previous boyfriend of Morales's girlfriend. The victim reportedly had a history of stalking the female, and harassing her with text messages.

Morales had reportedly assaulted the male when he showed up at the home of Morales's girlfriend.
