Animal Abuse Complaint Leads To Drug Distribution Charges


At approximately 9:30 pm on 6/23/16, Hazleton Police received a report of a male possibly abusing a dog within 766 Lincoln Street in Hazleton City.

Upon arriving at the home, police requested members from Hazleton's drug task force to assist in a search of the home where multiple pounds of marijuana, distribution materials, and several thousands of dollars in cash were found.

Eudomar Concepcion, 20 of Hazleton, was charged with one felony count of Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent To Manufacture or Deliver, one misdemeanor charge of Endangering Welfare of Children, and one misdemeanor charge of Use/Poss Of Drug Paraphernalia.

Concepcion was jailed with a bail of $75,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled on July 6th at 10:30 am in front of Magistrate Dixon.

Police state that the two dogs within the home were fine, and had no signs of physical abuse, however the home did have a large amount of dog feces in the attic area.

Two children who resided in the home were taken from the scene by their biological father. A female who lived in the home was detained by police and taken to the Hazleton Police Station, but she was not jailed.
