Hazleton Area Student Threatens To Shoot Up School Tomorrow

According to multiple reports from parents and students, a 10th grade student at the STEM school had made threats to "shoot up the school" tomorrow, Thursday May 26th.

The threats were reportedly made today at school, where the male was sent home and suspended for Thursday.

Sources state that the student has been a victim of bullying, and that he has a list of "targets".

The student reportedly has access to guns at home, has a valid driving licence, and access to a vehicle.

The male also reportedly told other students to "wear red tomorrow".

The HASD administration and HASD police have been made aware of the threats, however a statement or plans to handle the situation have not been released.

In the recent past, a bomb threat and a threat to shoot up the high school had been made, resulting in heightened security and police presence, however HASD parents were not notified in either situation until the media had covered the incidents.

The student's name is currently know, and his Facebook page has recently been deactivated. His name will not be released until further information is verified by police.
