Three Charged, One Jailed In Retail Theft

Three individuals were held by security at Giant on South Locust Street in Hazleton on New Years Eve for shoplifting.

Christopher Wynkoop, 36 of Hazleton, Dawn Freit, 44 of Hazleton, and Patrick Duksta, 21 of Hazleton (Pictured above) were charged in connection with the retail theft.

Freit and Duksta recieved summary retail theft charges, with Wynkoop being charged with felony retail theft and tresspass.

Wynkoop was jailed in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $1,000 bail.

It has not been released what items the three were attempting to steal from the food store on New Years Eve.
