Traffic Stop Reveals Person With Multiple Warrants

At approximately 6:30pm on January 6th, a West Hazleton Police offcer on patrol observed a vehicle following another vehicle too closely.

During the traffic stop, officers discovered an occupant inside the vehicle who had multiple warrants.

Vincent Kenneth Canfield, whose last known address is Freeland, was taken into custody for active warrants from Hazleton City Police, Pennsylvania State Police, Luzerne County Sherriff, and the Sussex County Sherriff of New Jersey.

Narcotics and drug paraphernalia were also found concealed inside the vehicle.

Canfield will be charged with narcotics charges aswell.

Canfield's recent criminal history reflects multiple theft and drug charges.

Sugarloaf and Hazleton City Police assisted west Hazleton in the incident.
