Mayor Yannuzzi Vetoes 2016 Budget

Mayor Joseph Yannuzzi has just sent an e-mail to Hazleton City Counsel stating that he was exercising his power of veto on the 2016 budget which was passed yesterday on the 29th by counsel.

Yannuzzi states that the budget will cause the city to fall into deficit in 2016, damaging the financial considtion of the city for years to come.

Yanuzzi went on further to state that certain expenses that were cut were not done to simply to intimidate and punish certain members of staff.

Yannuzzi finished with:

"To let these senseless cuts stand unchallenged would place me in their catagory of unacceptable political bullying as well. I will not let that happen to the taxpayers of Hazleton!"
