Two Suspected Child Predators Arrested On Unrelated Charges

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane's office today announced the arrest of two Pennsylvania men as part of ongoing efforts to combat the online sexual exploitation of children.

The latest arrests were made by the Office of Attorney General's Child Predator Section in Montgomery and Erie counties. The defendants are:

  • Kenneth R. Lewis, 44, 57 Rorer Ave., Hatboro, Montgomery County.

  • Fahad Ahmad Omish, 24, 2334 Lakeview Drive, Erie, Erie County.

Lewis charges

Lewis was arrested following an undercover investigation in which agents sought to identify persons using a file sharing network to obtain and distribute child pornography.

A computer associated with Lewis was identified on a network sharing files containing suspected child pornography. That led agents from the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section and the Hatboro Police Department to execute a search warrant at Lewis' residence. A forensic review of several electronic devices revealed multiple images indicative of child pornography.

Lewis was charged with 52 counts of possession of child pornography and one count each of distribution of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.

He is confined to the Montgomery County Prison after failing to post $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 21.

Attorney General Kane thanked the Hatboro Police Department for its assistance with Lewis' arrest.

Lewis will be prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Rebecca Elo of the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section.

Omish charges

Agents with the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section conducted an online investigation to identify those suspected of using a file sharing network to distribute child pornography. A computer with an IP address associated with Omish was identified with media files indicative of child pornography.

Omish was arrested Thursday after agents with the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section and the Millcreek Township Police Department executed a search warrant at his residence. As part of the search, investigators located a laptop computer and a forensic preview of the device revealed several images of suspected child pornography.

Omish is charged with two counts of distribution of child pornography, 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.

He is confined to the Erie County Prison after failing to post $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 5.

Attorney General Kane thanked the Millcreek Township Police Department for its assistance with Omish’s arrest.

Omish will be prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Chuck E. Washburn of the Office of Attorney General's Child Predator Section.
