Dollar General Robbed At Gunpoint

Just before 10 pm, an armed robbery was reported at the Dollar General at Vine and Mine Streets in Hazleton.

Officers from Hazleton City, West Hazleton, and Butler Township responded.

Initial reports described the suspect as being a Hispanic male wearing a grey jacket and a black mask. The male was reportedly in posession of a black handgun which he used to threaten the employee.

Multiple individuals were detained in the area surrounding the store as officers searched for the suspect, but at the time of writing this, no one had been arrested or charged with the crime.

A video of the suspect has been given to the Halzeton City Police. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Hazleton City Police or dial 911.
