Wednesday December 16th - News Review

On Wednesday December 16th, the following incidents are reported to have happened in the Hazleton area at these approximate times:

1 pm

Freeland Elementary/Middle School Report of an attempted suicide. A juvenile reportedly attempted to hang herself. Freeland Police and EMS on scene. Do not contact the school. This is not intended to cause panic. This is intended to inform.

2 pm

The Airport Beltway near Wal-Mart Report of a vehicle fire in the trunk. EMS, State Police, and Hazle Township Fire were dispatched. No fire was present upon arrival of EMS and PSP.

5 pm

Vine and Mine Streets Report of a two car motor vehicle accident. Unknown on injuries. Hazleton City Fire, EMS, and HPD responding.

11 pm

Wilbur Court Report of a break-in in progress. An individual is reported to be attempting to enter a home through a window. HPD responding. No one seen upon police arrival. Police are investigating further.
