Monday December 14th - News Review


On Monday December 14th, the following incidents are reported to have happened in the Hazleton area at these approximate times:

Midnight

Locust and Diamond West Hazleton Police have a vehicle stopped within city limits that was seen striking multiple vehicles. HPD is responding to assist in the stop.

Noon

500 block of Alter Street Male overdosed. Is conscious and breathing currently. Reported to have gone into a seizure. HPD and EMS responding.

1 pm

Bennett Court and Elm Street Report of a possible residential structure fire. Heavy smoke seen coming from a chimney. Hazleton City Fire and EMS on scene. Possibly just an oil burner stating up. Units returning. No fire.

2 pm

Bradley Caldwell Inc - Valmont Report of a male pinned by a forklift. Male reported to be free at this time. Experiencing stomach pain. EMS responding.

3 pm

Freeland Elementary Commercial fire alarm. Second flood pull station. Students are exiting the building. Freeland Fire and Freeland Police responding. Determined to be a false activation.

4 pm

600 block of Mckinley Street A female reports that she was just stabbed. The attacking female is currently in the hallway of the home. EMS is staging out until HPD arrives. Unknown extent of injury. Suspect is reportedly approximately 50 years old. Victim is 25 years old.

6 pm

Walnut Street in Freeland An individual witnessed a male inside of their vehicle. Unknown if the male had taken anything. Described as wearing a grey sweatshirt. FPD responding.

8 pm

Locust and 6th An individual reports that they caught a male going through their vehicle. Described as a Hispanic male in a blue hoodie. The male fled on foot when he was confronted. HPD responding.

8 pm

309 and interstate 80 in Butler Township Report of a two car motor vehicle accident. Airbags deployed. One individual with injuries. Butler Township Police and Valley Regional Fire responding.
