Male Jailed Over Arrest Warrant

Around 1:30 pm, Hazleton City Police responded to the area of Locust and Broad for a report of disorderly males.

Officers were seen in the area of Vine and Broad with two males.

The area on Vine between Broad and Mine Streets is home to a small park known as Tyrolean Park.

Many homeless individuals frequent the benches and tables in the park and drink alcoholic beverages in paper bags in the area.

The nature of the initial call is unknown.

Hazleton Police identified one male as 36 year old Scott Hunsinger.

Hunsinger was determined to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Columbia County.

Hunsinger was taken into custody and later transported to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
