Thursday December 10th - News Review


On Thursday December 10th, the following incidents are reported to have happened in the Hazleton area at these approximate times:

8 am

15th and Locust Report of a motor vehicle accident. Four cars involved. Two of which were parked. Unknown on injuries initially. Now reported as no injuries. Hazleton City Fire, HPD, and EMS responding.

8 am

Hazleton Elementary and Middle School Report of a large black dog in the area, chasing students in an aggressive manner. Security is handling the situation but is requesting HPD immediately.

9 pm

Chestnut Street An individual reports that their vehicle was broken into and items were stolen from inside. HPD investigating.

3 pm

North Wyoming Hazleton City Fire dispatched on the investigation of a chemical like smell in a residence.

4 pm

Broad and Laurel Streets Report of a motor vehicle accident. Three cars involved. Multiple injuries. Fluids down. Hazleton City Fire responding.

8 pm

North Pine Street Report of a break in to a vehicle in progress. Described as a Black male with a baseball hat and blue jacket. HPD responding.

8 pm

Wal-Mart Report of an unresponsive male inside of the store. Toward the back of the store, a younger male. Is breathing. Update: Male is now walking towards the bathroom. Described as smelling of marijuana. PSP, West Hazleton Police, and Sugarloaf Police responding. EMS responding.

9 pm

Route 93 near Nathan's Report of an electrical pole on fire. Unknown if it will cause power loss. Hazle Township Fire responding. Determined not to be an electrical pole but a light pole at a dealership. Power has been shut off for the lights.

9 pm

300 block of East Diamond Ave Two males, one with his face painted red, broke into a home and assaulted a male with a baseball bat. The males fled on foot. HPD and EMS responding. Address confused. Actually occurred on West Diamond.
