Wilkes-Barre Wal-Mart Flooded, Evacuated
At approximately 6:40, Station 188 Wilkes-Barre Township Fire was dispatched to Wal-Mart for a water flow activation of a commercial fire alarm.
The area was reported as the garden center.
Additional reports stated that a water pipe in the sprinkler system had broken and began flooding the store.
The water was turned off and station 188 was determined to not be needed on the scene.
The store was evacuated pending clean-up of the water.
It is unknown if the business can legally be open without a working sprinkler system.
