Weatherly Police Department Asking Community To Help Family In Need.

"It really hits us when you talk to a needy child and ask, what would you like for Christmas and they tell you, new shoes, so my feet stay dry, or a new coat, so I can be warm walking to the bus, or a new shirt, so I don't get made fun of for wearing the same shirt to school all the time. So many of us take what we have for granted. PLEASE, IF YOU COULD HELP OUT AT ALL, PLEASE DO. EVEN THE SMALLEST THING CAN CHANGE A CHILDS LIFE."

- Weatherly Police Department Facebook The Weatherly Police posted on their Facebook page on December 8th about a local family in need. "They are in a very hard way. It's a single dad trying to do the best he can. The kids want clothes above anything else."

The Weatherly Police are keeping the identity of the family anonymous, Accepting gifts, preferably wrapped, at the Police station to be given to the family.

"Please wrap the gift and make a note on what age child it's for. The Officers would then write out the name tags. Out of respect for the family, We don't want to list their names. We will however share your names with them( if you wish) and encourage a letter back to you from them." The children's details are listed below: 10 yr old Female

The Weatherly Police Will be delivering the gifts to the children on Christmas day.
