Accident With Entrapment Sends One On Life Flight To Trauma Center

At approximately 7pm, Hazle Township Fire, EMS, and State Police responded to East Diamond Avenue in the Township for a report of a one vehicle accident.

Traffic was rerouted for nearly an hour while crews removed a door, State Police investigated, and a towing company removed the vehicle.

The driver was reportedly unresponsive initially, but was concious upon arrival of EMS. The door was removed to free the entrapped individual.

Life flight was requested and landed at the Hazleton airport to transport the driver to Geisinger Wyoming Valley.

It is currently unknown what caused the one car crash.
