Friday December 4th - News Review


On Friday December 4th, the following incidents are reported to have happened in the Hazleton area at these approximate times:

3 pm

East Diamond Avenue A man drove a pickup off of the roadway into the woods and went down a small cliff. Driver is reported as elderly, not moving but is talking. Possible rollover. Life flight contacted. HPD, Hazleton City Fire, and EMS are on scene.

5 pm

South Church Street near the bus station Report of a two year old child locked in a vehicle. Hazleton City Fire responding.

8 pm

Fulton and Holly Report of a fight going on. Car driven by a possibly intoxicated male struck a home. Fighting ensued. Male involved in accident possibly has a gun. HPD responding.

8 pm

East Walnut Report of a male/female domestic. Male reported to be destroying the house. HPD responding.

8 pm

Seybert Street Male/female domestic. Female is hitting the male, threatening him with a knife. HPD responding.

10 pm

800 block of 19th Street Report of kids in hoodies on pedal bikes smashing out windows of a vehicle in the area. Fleeing toward 18th street. HPD determined that the vehicle had been there with the smashed windows for an extended period of time.

11 pm

Butler Drive and Old Turnpike Road Report of a vehicle that struck a house. No structural damage. Unknown on injuries. Butler Township Police and EMS on scene. One in custody, vehicle being towed.
