Motor Vehicle Accident Causing Vehicle To Roll 300 Feet Over Embankment, Into Magistrate

At around 7:45 pm on Thursday night, Hazleton City Police, Hazleton City Fire, and EMS responded to the area of East Broad Street and Club 40 road.

Police state that a white Buick LaCrosse driven by Shirley Braziell of Hazleton was making a right from Club 40 Road onto East Broad Street, colliding with a Chevrolet 2500 driven by David Pavelko of Beaver Meadows who was heading West on Broad Street..

The Buick then continued Westbound for roughly 300 feet, exiting the roadway, traveling down a grass embankment, and coming to rest in a parking lot of Magistrate Zola's office, stiking the building.

Braziell was entrapped in the vehicle, requiring Hazleton City Fire to extricate her from the vehicle.

Braziell and a passenger in the Chevrolet had been transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Both vehicles required tows from the scene. Traffic on Broad Street was rerouted for nearly an hour.

Below is a toddler like drawing of the path of the vehicles.
