Montgomery County Man Filmed Children Changing At Dorney Park For 10 years


PHILADELPHIA - Kurt Eichert, 51, of Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, was charged today by Indictment with one count of production of child pornography, two counts of distribution of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The indictment alleges that on or about June 2005 to on or about September 2015, Eichert produced child pornography. Eichert is alleged to have surreptitiously recorded children changing their clothes in Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Eichert is also charged with distributing child pornography in May 2015 and possessing images of child pornography in September 2015.

If convicted the defendant faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison with a maximum possible sentence of 80 years.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations (“HSI”) and the Abington Township Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Josh A. Davison.

An Indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
