Package Scare In Tresckow Determined To Be Cleaning Powder

The suspicious package that police investigated in Tresckow on Wednesday has turned out to contain a non-toxic powder.

Initial rumors stated that State Police may have been investigating a bomb as their vehicles surrounded a home and officers inspected a suspicious package for severa hours.

Kelly Sherkness of Tresckow received a package containing a white powdery substance this morning and immediately contacted authorities about it.

Sherkness is employed by the Department of Auditor General and was expecting a package from them when she opened what turned out to be a cleaning agent after a postal mix up.

Officials tested the susbstance and determined that it was safe and non-toxic.
