Tuesday December 1st - News Review


On Tuesday December 1st, the following incidents are reported to have happened in the Hazleton area at these approximate times:

2 am

West 15th Street An individual reports that people are threatening to stab her. She believes that the people are currently outside of her home. HPD is on scene.

11 am

East Maple Street A door of an unoccupied home was kicked in. People are inside of the home. HPD in route.

1 pm

400 block of North Street in West Hazleton Report of a possible break-in in progress. HPD units assisting West Hazelton Police. No one found. Units returning.

1 pm

2nd Street and Sherman Report of a male assaulting a female. The male fled on foot along 2nd Street. HPD units in the area searching for the male. Male is described as a Hispanic male with a black jacket and black hat. HPD is aware of his name.

3 pm

15th and McKinley Report of a hit and run. A vehicle struck another vehicle and then attempted to flee. The victim followed the fleeing vehicle into a nearby parking lot. Parties involved are arguing. HPD is on scene.

4 pm

Mount Laurel Motel Report of an armed robbery. Suspect described as a black male dressed in black with a gold chain. Fled in a black colored car. In possession of a small hand gun. Vehicle described as a black Honda Accord with a sunroof and spoiler. Either black rims or no hub caps. If seen, call 911.

10 pm

81 Southbound onto 80 West Tractor Trailer rollover. Driver is confined to the vehicle. Valley Regional Fire and EMS are responding. Driver is no longer confined. Heavy amounts of fluids down.

11 pm

Diamond and Laurel Report of a hit and run. Vehicle struck another vehicle and fled the scene. HPD responding.
