Butler Township Police Respond To One-Vehicle DUI Accident

Butler Township Police responded to a one vehicle accident in the early morning of Sunday November 22nd.

The accident occurred in the area of N. Beisels Road and St. John's Road around 1 am Sunday morning.

The vehicle was driven by Lisa M. Bryan, age 35 of Drums. Bryan admitted that she was texting when her vehicle went though the intersection and down into a ditch.

Bryan, who was uninjured, showed signs of intoxication and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Butler Township Police state that charges are pending the results of forensic testing.

Valley Regional Fire responded to the accident, witnessing the female appearing to attempt to flee the scene.

Firefighters witnessed Bryan attempting to drive the vehicle out of the ditch, and then exiting the vehicle and leaving on foot after the vehicle would not move.

Butler Township Police found Bryan walking along St. Johns Road. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
