At approximately 4 pm on Tuesday, Weatherly Police issued a warrant for Jacob Gralewski, 19 of Weatherly.

Gralewski reportedly ran from a hospital in Lehighton on Monday at approximately 8 am.

Weatherly Police issued a 302 warrant, a court ordered "involantary commitment", notifying local law enforcement of the male described as 19 years of age, 5'10, 190 pounds, brown hair, and brown eyes.

Weatherly police received information leading them to believe that Gralewski came into possession of a handgun, and that he may have been involved in an armed robbery in Hazleton city.

Gralewski has had a history of resisting and fighting Weatherly police, and local departments were warned of this.

Around 6:45 pm, Hazleton police responded to the area of Giant Supermarket for a report of a fight in progress. West Hazleton Police assisted HPD initially.

Upon responding, the individuals had fled, however descriptions led police to believe that Gralewski had been involved in the incident, with witnesses stating that he had ran towards Vine Street. Sugarloaf and Butler Township Police also responded to the area to assist HPD.

An officer witnessed Gralewski Running South on Vine Street in the area of Dollar General wearing red jeans and a grey sweatshirt.

Officers both on foot and in vehicles chased Gralewski to the area of Vine and Walnut, resulting in Gralewski being taken into custody at 6:52.

It is currently unknown if Gralewski was armed, and no charges have been filed in connection with any crimes.
