Shots Fired Near Alter Or Locust Street

Around 10:30, gunshots were reported to have been heard in the area of 3rd and Locust.

Between three and four shots were heard.

Other reports of the shots came in from the area of Alter and 3rd, stating four or five shots were heard. Hazleton Police, West Hazleton Police, and Butler Township Police responded to the area and began searching.

Minutes later, a report stated that four or five blaack males were engaged in a fight in the area of 2nd and Alter.

The individual who had witnessed this had stated that the fight was seen, then the actors exited the field of view of the individual, and then the gunshots were heard.

No one was reported to be injured.

It is unknown if any property was damaged, or if Hazleton police have charged anyone.
