Traffic Stop Leads To "Spice" Drug Charges

Butler Township Police state that they had conducted a traffic stop just before midnight along Sount Hunter Highway in Drums on Saturday May 23rd. The vehicle was pulled oer for an inoperable brake light.

The driver, Raymond Skitzki, 21 of Hazle Township, was found to have an active arrest warrant from the Luzerne County Sheriff's Department for failure to appear. The hearing he failed to appear for was for theft.

Butler Township Police found Skitzki to be in posession of synthetic marijuana when he was taken into custody.

Skitzki's license was also found to be suspended.

Skitzki was charged with the following:

M Possession of a controlled substance

M Possession of drug paraphernalia

S Driving while operating privlege is suspended
