Saturday November 21st - News Review

On Sunday November 15th, the following incidents are reported to have happened in the Hazleton area at these approximate times:

1 pm

Lincoln and 3rd Motor vehicle accident. Reported as a hit and run. Vehicle struck another vehicle. Fleeing vehicle went up Lincoln Street. Hazleton City Fire, EMS, and HPD are on scene of the accident.

3 pm

200 block of East Chestnut Report of an attempted break in. Four people seen attempting to break into a structure.Left the area on foot. HPD investigating.

5 pm

400 block of Winters Ave in West Hazleton A home was shot in the area. Three men were on foot in the area, one aimed a gun at a home and fired into the home. Another shot was heard in the area also. West Hazleton and HPD are searching for the males.

7 pm

Old Turnpike Road in Butler Township Report of a motor vehicle accident. Vehicle struck a pole. Pole reported to be severed. Wires down. Valley Regional Fire, EMS, and Butler Township Police are responding.
