How To Help Freeland Fire Victims


A fire Friday evening in Freeland left two families homeless and with nothing.

The following are methods of lending a helping hand to those in need:

The Tunkle Family

A GoFundMe has been started for the Tunkle Family, who among two other families, lost their homes and belongings in a fire on Friday evening.

Kathy Montesrin started the donation page for Diane and her son Randy.

The Smith Family

Danielle Smith, along with four other home members were left with nothing after the fire.

She is currently accepting donations for her three boys, herself, and her husband. at 557 South Street in Freeland.

Items are also being collected at 431 Center street after 2pm on Saturday for both families.

The third residence in the burned structure is reported to have been unoccupied at the time of the fire.

A neighboring property has been damaged from the fire, but it is currently not known to what extent.
