Police Surround Home - Guns Drawn

Around 10 am Monday, Hazleton City Police along with State Police had a home in the area of 1st and Garfield surrounded, weapons drawn.

Officers reportedly surrounded the home prior to entering it. Weapons trained on windows, and announcing any movement that could be seen within the residence.

Hazleton City Fire and APTS were on stand by in the area, staging out near Dollar General on Diamond Avenue. Assumably to assist in structural access and EMS needs if a weapon were to be discharged.

It is not known currently why the officers were in the area, however possibly related, State police are searching for Lizandy Antonio Trejo, who is wanted for Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment after firing a gun into a car full of people in Ebervale Sunday morning.

Trejo reportedly struck one individual in the head, causing a laceration that required medical attention.

The officers reportedly did not leave with anyone in custody.
