Suspected DUI Arrest

Just before noon on Saturday, a man was seen driving a silver BMW erratically on 309 through McAdoo.

The man drove toward Hazlton, reportedly exiting the roadway multiple times and causing others to swerve out of his path.

Near the Aurtur Gardner Expressway, te male was observed by a citizen getting out of the vehicle and stumbling around it before getting back in and proceeding towards Hazleton again.

Hazleton Police intercepted the vehicle in the area of Broad and Church Streets, with a search of the male reportedly exposing the posession of drug paraphernalia.

The male was taken to Lehigh Valley Hazleton Hospital for a blood toxicology examination.

No charges have been filed as of yet.
