Fatal ATV Accident Saturday Night In Butler Township

At approximately 11 pm Saturday night, Butler Township Police were dispatched to the area of Four Seasons Drive and Edge Rock Drive in Beech Mountain for a report of an ATV accident.

Butler Township police were assisted by Freeland Police, West Hazleton Borough Police, Conyngham Police, Valley Regional Fire and Valley regional EMS.

A male identified as David Lee Adams, 35 of Drums, was traveling South on Four Seasons Drive when he lost control of his ATV and struck a utility pole.

Valley Regional EMS originally orchestrated life flight to transport the male to a certified trauma center.

Adams suffered a traumatic arrest of his heart, causing life flight to be called off.

Adams was transported to Lehigh Valley Hazleton via ambulance and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Butler Township police state that alcohol may have been a factor, and toxicology results are pending.
