Homeless Veterans Awareness - Raising Funds For Homeless Veteran Transition Home

Walt and Cindy Hunsicker have set up a camp site along side of Rt. 309 in Hazle Township. Their purpose is to raise funds for Paul's House which is a transition home for homeless veterans.

Paul's House provides life skills, peer to peer support and knowledge about the VA to our nations veterans who are in need of assistance and who can benefit from transition services and training.

Cindy Hunsicker is veteran herself who served in Saudi Arabia and is very active with veterans affairs in our area.

The camp is setup to recreate make shift shelters that Walt and Cindy have encountered of homeless vets in their travels.

HZTN1 spent some time with these folks and we want you to know they are the real thing. We spoke with Cindy and Walt and discussed in great detail the involvement they have with our veterans.
