Hazleton Man Charged In Connection To Drugs / Overdose

Freeland police have released that Matthew Logan of Hazleton has been charged, posted along with images of drug parapernalia.

Charges have not currently been filed in the incident, and it is currently not known what prior charges are referred to by the Sheriff's department.

The initial report from Birkbeck Street had stated that a male had locked himself in a bathroom and was not answering another individual in the residence.

Police were dispatched, and found a male, presumably Logan, inside of the bathroom, unresponsive and turning blue.

EMS was dispatched and an overdose was determined to be the cause of the incident.

Logan has an extensive criminal history of charges of retail theft.
