Individual Charged In Hit And Run - Possible DUI

Just after noon, Freeland Police responded to a report of a hit and run in the area of Front Street and Washington Street in Freeland.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with front end damage just before recieving the call for the hit and run.

The vehicle that they stopped had belonged to Jennifer Patric Hanisee of Walnut Street in Freeland.

Hanisee had been determined to have been involved in the hit and run and was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.

Hanisee was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton for a blood alcohol test.
