Downtown Parking Garage Gets Facelift

The Hazleton downtown parking garage has been recieving a fresh coat of paint in recent days.

Painters were at the garage between Wyoming and Laurel Streets in the city Monday afternoon continuing the job of painting the structure.

The garage has also recieved new lighting, as well as the addition of the walking bridge that connects it with the Markle building.

The garage was previously under scrutiny recently for being in a state of decay.

Concerns about the structural soundness of the garage have recently been raised.

It is unknown at this time what steps have been taken to repair the parking garage structurally.
