One In Custody After Attempted Burglary

Hazleton Police have one male in custody after a reported attempted burglary.

Officers were seen surrounding a home on Elm Street around 11:45 with guns drawn after neighbors reportedly stated that an individual was seen attempting to gain access to a home.

The individual was inside of the home when police arrived, prompting them to surround the house, and tactically enter.

It is unknown if the man was armed, however Hazleton officers could be seen with weapons drawn and bulletproof vests on in the area.

The individual has been transported to the Hazleton Police Department.
