Two Victims Shot Near Broad/Cedar Street, Hazleton

Shots were fired around 2:15 on Cedar Street in Hazleton, Wednesday afternoon.

Initial reports stated that there was a shooting at Broad and Cedar Streets.

One individual was struck by a bullet and ran into a warehouse on Cedar and Mine Streets.

A second gunshot victim was taken by private means to Lehigh Valley Hazleton.

Sources state hearing between 5 and 7 shots over a span of three blocks on Cedar Street.

A burgundy colored Toyota RAV 4 was seen leaving the scene, driven by a female. a BOLO has been put out for this vehicle for it's possible connection in the shooting.

A black male wearing a striped shit was seen running West along the railroad tracks after the shots were fired.

A fired bullet was found under a chair alond Cedar Street.

Bullet holes were seen in vehicles, and reports state that bullets had struck local businesses and homes.

Hazleton City Police along with State police began investigating the area, reporting that they were following blood trails near the Pine Street playground.

Cedar Street was closed between Oak an Chestnut as officers investigated the crime scene.

This is the fourth shooting this year in this area of Hazleton.
