Man On Dirt Bike Severely Injured In Accident With Motor Vehicle

Around 10:30pm Monday night, Hazle Township Fire and State Police responded to an accident involving a motor vehicle and a birt bike.
Reports state that the operator of the dirt bike was not wearing a helmet when he collided with a Jeep at the intersection of the Arthur Gardner Expressway and Broad Street.

Life flight was not available for the man who was suffering from severe head trama, and was reported to be bleeding from the face and head.

The male was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton.
State troopers investigated the area, marking the placement of the Jeep and the dirt bike.

Parts from the bike could be seen scattered around the area, along with shoes found near a wooded area near the intersection.

Hazleton News 1 has expressed many times that it is illegal to opperate a quad or dirt bike on a public roadway.
Death and injury occur too often when individuals operate these vehicles illegaly on public roads.
Please always wear helmets and do not operate quads and dirt bikes on public roadways.
