The Hazleton Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization that cares for and provides shelter to homeless dogs and cats until they are adopted or returned to their owners.
If any dogs or cats are found , they can be taken to the Hazleton Animal Shelter, where they will be cared for until they are reunited with their owners.
The shelter charges a very low cost of $10 per day for the care of dogs and cats. Hours of the shelter are 1pm - 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
If a dog or cat is found when the shelter is not open, the Hazleton Police Department will gladly meet at the shelter and contact a worker to take the animals in.
The shelter verifies ownership by vet records, pictures, and personal references. Along with making a copy of a driver's lisence to verify that dogs and cats are returning to their proper homes.
Pictured above are items that the shelter would always appreciate to be donated.
