Couple And Infant Barely Miss Pole In Accident

A couple with an infant in the vehicle heading West on 940 between White Haven and Freeland around 9:30pm on Sunday night barely missed a telephone pole when leaving the roadway.

Tracks could be seen in the grass showing that the vehicle just squeezed between a corner post of the fence and a telephone pole.

The vehicle had taken out roughly 30 feet of fencing before exiting the grassy area.

A male was driving the vehicle with a female passenger and an infant in the back seat.

The vehicle sustained minimal damage and was drivable to leave the scene after crossing the double yellow lines and exiting the roadway on the Eastbound side.

Both adults and the infant were unharmed after the event.

The property owner was asleep in bed when the accident hppened. Despite the damage to her fence, she was glad that no one was injured.

State Police stated that the driver of the vehicle would be cited for Failure To Maintain Lane.
