Tragic Deadly Accident On Weatherly/White Haven Road

Fire fighters from White Haven, Freeland, and Fearnots responded to an accident around 7:30 Saturday evening.

Reports state that a vehicle had been traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control.

Two were fatally wounded in the accident.

The Lehigh Gorge Road was entirely closed off to traffic for over two hours while debris was removed and the scene was investigated.
Both occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
