Robert Torner: Gives Threats In Response To Littering Accusations

Robert Torner, currently a Freeland resident, has moved to the area from Union City New Jersey, with the intent to bring oppertunity with him.

Torner has stated that he provides cheap housing in the once nuisance "Cottage" in Freeland.

When Torner obtained the Cottage, disturbances requiring police response went down. The building that holds one room apartments for residents was painted pink, reportedly in support for a family member of Torner's who was diagnosed with cancer.

On Sunday, June 15th however, Torner's image as a nice, upstanding citizen, changed for Freeland residents.

Piles of trash were found dumped in Upper Lehigh. Trash that was confirmed to have been from Torner's newest property which he is currently perfoming work on at the corner of Center and Front Streets in Freeland.

Previous employees of Torner had confirmed the waste to have been from recent removals from Torner's property.

The biggest piece of evidence was the storefront window which Torner removed.

When Freeland residents began a thread about the dumping in a Facebook group, Torner began threatening and degrading those who accused him.

Numerous times, Torner suggested that his accusers meet him face to face "like men".

He mentioned that one of his accusers had "begged for a job on your hands and knees for days like a little girl"

He then stated that his former employee couldn't even prove their kids were their own, in defense to the man proving the garbage belonged to Torner.

Torner told the man he believed that the man would be afraid of Torner smaking him in the mouth, and referred to a fight between the two as a pitbull against a chihuahua.

Torner proceeded to make more threats, as people questioned the dumping.

Calling one man "Mentally disabled".

Torner has stated that he believes that someone has framed him by placing the garbage on the property of Pagnotti Coal Company.

This excuse came roughly 3 hours after he made threats and degraded Citizens of the town, and former employees. Also after he suggested that people stop worrying about him, and worry about their own family lives and drug addictions.

Torner expects to open a Cuban restaurant at the property, and expects residents to forget about the illegal dumping and threats that he made, and become patrons of his restaurant.

"While you're all busy talking s*** about me, I'll be busy counting money and buying another piece of property in this town that you all love so much." was one comment by Torner.

Freeland police were notified, but due to the dumping occuring in Foster Township, they had notified the state police.
