Freeland Business Off To A Bad Start - Dumping Construction Waste In Upper Lehigh

A building on the corner of Center and Front Street is off to a bad start, after piles of waste were found in Upper Lehigh, right outside of Freeland.

The waste is not only proven to be from the building currently under renovation, but the owner, Robert Torner, has said this on Facebook in response to accusations:

Freeland residents are suggesting a boycott of Torner's restaurant when construction completes.

Residents have sent information reguarding the dumping to local authorities, but the police require a land owner to make a complaint in order to follow through with charges.

Torner is performing construction on the old "Garden Chen" restaurant building, the glass window of which can be seen in the pictures of the pile of trash. Torner's former employees have stated that the materials that were dumped, had been removed from Torner's building.

Construction has been ongoing for months, and there has not been a singular instance of a dumpster at the property.
