Police Investigating Murder In Hazleton

Around 10:30pm Thursday night, a caller reported the sound of four gunshots in the area of 4th and Alter St. to 911.

Immediately after, a caller stated that a man was shot in the face and back at 4th and Emerald Court.

Police swiftly arrived on scene. The victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton. The victim died of his injuries.

Police taped off a crime scene between 3rd and 4th on Alter and Emerald Court.

Alter was openned around 2am Friday Morning.
