Hazleton Terminus: Watch Out For Zombies On The Rails To Trails
A local man making a reference to The Walking Dead at our very own Terminus, the Hazleton Rails To Trails.
Google defines terminus as: 1. A final point in space or time; an end or extremity.
2. The end of a railroad or other transportation route, or a station at such a point; a terminal.
In our Terminus, all who arrive actually DO survive.
It really is a sanctuary and community for all!
Rails To Trails are a semi-national network of abandoned railroad tracks that are turned into biking, hiking, and walking trails.
The trails in Hazleton are a great place to Geocache also.
Geocaching is a type of online scavenger hunt, where "caches" are found using a GPS or smartphone.
The trail technically begins at it's terminus, with a dead end / turn around when it merges with Beryllium Road. (That's a whole other story in itself.)
Currently, the 4 miles of trail pass the Dreck Creek Reservoir and wind passed Ashmore, but the trail will eventually be over 16 miles, leading to the Lehigh Gorge.
Enjoy a beautiful walk through nature, following the footseps (Or rails) of history, and don't forget to keep an eye out for zombies or crazy cannibals on the Hazleton Rails To Trails!
