Boy Bullied For Growing Hair For Cancer Patients
When Christian McPhilamy of Florida was 6, he decided to grow his hair long. He was teased and mistaken for a girl, but he never gave up on his goal: to donate 10 inches of his hair to make wigs for children being treated for cancer.
Christian was inspired by a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital commercial. "Some people tried to call me a girl" Christian told Florida Today, adding that this made him feel "Not very good.".
Christian endured bullyng for 2 1/2 years, but despite adversity, Christian never gave up on his mission, and he proudly donated four 10 inch ponytails and donated them.
Christian's story should bring hope and courage to anyone.
