Man Who Taped Dogs Muzzle ARRESTED

Originally named Diamond, this 15 month old dog was sold by a couple on Memorial Day for $10. Just days later, she showed back up in their yard with her muzzle taped shut. Rescuers believe the dog may have been left in that condition for up to 48 hours. A description of the man who bought the dog had been provided to the authorities. When brought in by the Charleston Animal Society, she was re-named Caitlyn. They expect the recovery to take months, and she is currently recieving treatment in a hyperbaric chamber in hopes of saving her tongue.

Days after the rescue, Charleston police arrested the man they say is responsible for taping Caitlyn's mouth shut.

William Leonard Dodson was charged with Ill Treatment Of Animals/torture.

As of yesterday, Caitlyn is eating normal food, and is doing well with healing.
