Firemen Not Allowed In Xtacy Hookah Lounge, Shots Fired In Area

More incidents at the Xtacy Hookah Lounge and surrounding area in Hazleton.

Hazleton police recieved a call about a male who had fired gun shots into the air in the area of East Diamond Avenue and Carson Street around 4:30 a.m. While police were responding, firefighters were dispatched to a commercial fire in the same area, at the infamous Xtacy Hookah Lounge. When arriving at Xtacy, firefighters were refused entry to the building by a man inside, stating that there was no fire. Firefighters told the man that if he did not open the door, force would be used. The man continued to refuse to unlock the door, and firefighters forcefully entered through the glass door of the business. No injuries or property damage were reported due to the gunshots, and there was no fire found inside of the hookah lounge. As always, we encourage debate, and opinions on subjects. Do firefighters have the right to demand access to a building if there is a reported fire? Does a home or business owner have the right to refuse entry if there is in fact no fire?
